C3 Helps Seniors Rediscover Singapore
Seniors Rediscover Singapore on 25th June 2021
56 seniors from Calvary Community Care (C3) recently spent a Friday soaking in the sights and wonders of Singapore.
Covid-19 restrictions have put a damper on vacations so our seniors looked forward to this daycation rediscovering Singapore. A couple was so excited about the trip, they likened it to a vacation in Europe!

What made it all possible
Through constant interaction with seniors, we realized that many have been holding on to their SingapoRediscovers Vouchers as they did not know how to redeem it.
Therefore, C3 partnered with Potong Pasir Community Club who sponsored the coach, and a tour agency, to customise the trip with more senior-friendly activities. The result was a fun and unforgettable trip! To ensure safe distancing between the seniors, we split them into two groups – one in the morning and one in the afternoon.
The morning group started their trip with a cable car ride from Mount Faber followed by a visit to the Trick-eye Museum in Sentosa while seniors in the afternoon group had fun experiencing Singapore Flyer and riding on the amphibious Duck craft for a unique land and sea adventure to enjoy breathtaking views of Singapore.
“This was a great opportunity to bring our seniors out as we know some of them felt very cooped up within the confines of Potong Pasir.” said Aileen Wang, Programme Manager for Seniors.
